The Information Center activity is focused on forming an adequate presentation and recognition of photography as an art medium. The information center affords free access to reference and information resources, accumulates information on photography in the world, holds consultations on various aspects in the field of photography.
The FotoDepartament Information center is happy to exchange information and offers a wide range of information services:*
- consulting in modern photography and the history of photography
- compiling and editing bibliography lists for research works, including course works and thesis
- consulting and assistance in writing papers on photography and art-related topics
- locating specific publications in the funds of national and international libraries, photography centers’ libraries, and major retail stores
- locating required magazine and journal articles in Russian and foreign full-text databases
- information on education photography programs and courses in St. Petersburg, national and international photography schools
- assistance in completing application forms for foundations, for grants and education purposes
- other information related to photography.
Currently, the reference service is conducted only online. The timeline for processing your request, depending on the level of difficulty, may take anywhere from 1 to 7 business days.
